iOS Project: Transreality Game
Students will produce a networked game that will leverage sensors on the phone to create a unique gaming experience. The focus of the game will be to make it physical through real-world gestures, motion and knowledge of other players real-world location. To do this students will need to integrate knowledge of graphics, networking, sensors, and user interface design alongside a skill set of tool usage. The final project will involve milestones with opportunities to get ungraded peer review feedback from fellow learners so that they can iterate and improve their game program.

Basic User Interface Design for Web Developers
By the end of this project, you will be able to describe and demonstrate some basic user interface design principles and techniques used by web developers. You will modify HTML/CSS code to add alt attributes, alter color schemes, and change font sizes – all to improve a website’s user interface design. A website that provides a positive user experience is far more likely to be successful at meeting its goal--whether it is to inform, collect information, or sell a product or service.

Starting GUI Programming with JavaFX
In this 2-hour long guided project, we will learn the basics of creating GUI Applications with JavaFX. We will do this by creating a simple user interface designed with Scene Builder and FXML. The GUI Application itself will be powered by the JavaFX framework. While JavaFX has a fairly large number of components that offer a lot of functionality, we will focus on creating something simple to familiarize ourselves with the framework and some of its core functionality.
To be able to complete this project successfully, you should be familiar with the Java programming language.

Get Started with Figma
Figma is a web-based graphics editing and user interface design app that works on your browser. What does that really mean? You can access your projects from multiple devices without installing software. You and others can work on the same file in real-time taking the project from brainstorming to prototypes. You can use Figma to design briefs, create storyboards, reduce complexity on web sites and even design your CV or resume all while collaborating with others in real time!
