Capstone: Autonomous Runway Detection for IoT

Capstone: Autonomous Runway Detection for IoT

Finally! You will learn how to motivate engineering decisions and how to choose implementations to make a system actually running! This capstone project course ties together the knowledge from three previous courses in IoT though embedded systems: Development of Real-Time Systems, Web Connectivity & Security and Embedded Hardware and Operating Systems. You will develop a larger system using the learning outcomes from these courses, and the students will evaluate the developed system in a real-world programming environment.

Energy management for real estate. Methods and digital tools

Energy management for real estate. Methods and digital tools

The figure of the Energy Manager (EM), introduced in the United States in the early 1970s, during the first oil crisis, brought to light the need to get more work out of less energy. In Italy, this figure was officially introduced by Law 308/82, but had its first strong impulse thanks to Law 10/91, aimed at implementing the National Energy Plan on the rational use of energy, energy saving and the development of renewable energy sources.

Politics and Economics of International Energy

Politics and Economics of International Energy

Energy issues have always been important in international relations, but in recent years may have become even more important than in the past due to the widespread awareness of existing limits to energy sources and negative climate impacts. The course discusses global trends in energy consumption and production, various available scenarios for potential developments in the coming decades, the availability of oil reserves and the evolution of the oil industry. It then discusses natural gas and highlights the differences between oil and gas.
