Jazmin Oliver

Jazmin Oliver has a diverse scientific background with significant career experience in the hemp industry. Jazmin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Medicine and Public Health from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. She also studied medicine as a graduate student internationally at Saint James School of Medicine in Anguilla, British West Indies. Her experience in medical school helped define her passion for research of cannabinoids and their medicinal properties. Jazmin has built laboratory teams and served as a leader of research and development. Some of her research efforts focus on refinement and purification of hemp-derived cannabinoids, designing methods to isolate major and minor cannabinoids, such as CBD, THC, CBN, CBG, and CBC. Jazmin owns Cannabis Science Consultants, using her experience and knowledge to advise industry professionals on cannabis science, education, processing, optimization, safety and more.

Andrea Holmes, PhD

Dr. Andrea Holmes is a Professor of Chemistry at Doane University in Crete Nebraska and the Chief Growth Officer of Precision Plant Molecules in Denver, Colorado. In 2018, Dr. Holmes was appointed as a Ph.D. scientist at AgriScience Labs in Denver, a state-certified and ISO audited marijuana-testing lab. At AgriScience Labs, Dr. Holmes tested marijuana consumer products for potency, residual solvents, terpenes, pesticides, yeasts, molds, salmonella, and e-coli. She also conducted her own research and developed an automated image analysis for counting yeast and mold colonies in marijuana, eliminating the need for a microbiologist to count the colonies manually. While at AgriScience Labs, Dr. Holmes helped develop a portable cannabis colorimetric sensor that is able to detect and quantify THC.

As the Chief Growth Officer at PPM and a senior management member, Dr. Holmes has pioneered a new, consumer-driven market of THC free cannabis-based products. She has also headed up the efforts to push new frontiers of science in the discovery of novel minor cannabinoids that are known for wellness benefits.  In her on campus classroom at Doane University, Dr. Holmes teaches organic chemistry and applies classical organic chemistry concepts and topics to cannabis chemistry.
