Cloud Composer: Qwik Start - Command Line
This is a self-paced lab that takes place in the Google Cloud console. In this lab, you use Cloud Shell command line to create the Cloud Composer environment and set Composer environment variables. You then use Composer to run a workflow that verifies a data file, creates and runs an Apache Hadoop wordcount job on a Dataproc cluster, and deletes the cluster.

Style Images with CSS
In this intermediate-level course you will explore how CSS (Cascading Stylesheets) can be used to alter the appearance of an image on your web page. HTML is used to add image content to a website and CSS is used to make that content visually appealing to website visitors. You will use the Notepad++ editor to write CSS rules with a variety of selectors and properties that are applied to images to change their appearance. The Chrome browser is used to display the page to test the results of your work.

In this hands-on project, we will build and train an XG-Boost classifier to predict whether a person has a risk of having cervical cancer. Cervical cancer kills about 4,000 women in the U.S. and about 300,000 women worldwide. Data has been obtained from 858 patients and include features such as number of pregnancies, smoking habits, Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), demographics, and historic medical records.

Prediction Models with Sports Data
In this course the learner will be shown how to generate forecasts of game results in professional sports using Python. The main emphasis of the course is on teaching the method of logistic regression as a way of modeling game results, using data on team expenditures. The learner is taken through the process of modeling past results, and then using the model to forecast the outcome games not yet played.
